At Daihatsu, we have a tradition of making compact cars. Throughout our history we have sought ways to package dreams and practical requirements in a compact format. Given today's worsening traffic conditions, the growing population of older drivers, energy and environment-related issues and the progressive motorization of developing countries, we believe "compact" is going to be a key concept in an increasingly motorized world.
Into the 21st century, our goal is to produce cars that avoid imposing a burden on society or the environment while retaining their individuality and consumer appeal. At the same time, we intend to make full use of the "compact" concept as we develop into an even more dynamic company. That's why our corporate slogan at Daihatsu is "We make it COMPACT", which signals the spirit, courage and single-mindedness with which we roll back the boundaries of the possible in a small car.
